The Structural and Earthquake Engineering Laboratory of the Department of Civil Engineering of METU has been conducting experimental structural research on large-scale specimens for nearly six decades, contributing to state-of-the-art structural science and earthquake engineering over the years. The Laboratory moved to the current campus in 1964, is one of Turkey's first structural and earthquake engineering research laboratories. The Structural and Earthquake Engineering Laboratory accepts approximately 40 graduate students each year.
